Baby repeats 'I love you' at just 10 weeks old and leaves parents speechless

A 10-week-old baby left his parents lost for words when he told his mum 'I love you' - and the incredible moment was caught on camera.

Mum Kesia Cameron, from New York, was holding her baby son Roan in her lap and telling him "I love you" when he repeated the sentence back to her almost perfectly.

Little Roan can be seen attempting to mouth each sound as he echoes the phrase to the astonishment of his mum, who says "oh my God" as she clasps her hand over her mouth.

The adorable video was posted by Roan’s grandmother Lara Skadsen on TikTok, where it went viral and has racked up more than 1.1 million views.

It was shared with the caption 'Grandson is a genius! Watch!' and viewers were left stunned by his speech, as one replied to say: "Time for him to get a job and pay some bills!"

A second wrote: "OMG! He literally repeated what you said. Keep talking to him like a grown-up, he's going to be a genius."

Another commented: "He's like 'why you guys freaking out?'"

A fourth added: "2020 babies come with a new upgrade."

It appears chatterbox Roan is learning at a fast pace, with most babies only expected to have 'baby talk' for the first few months of their lives before being able to say a few simple words like 'mamma' and 'dadda' by the end of 12 months, according to WebMD.

The NHS offers guidelines on how to help your little one pick up speech in their formative years.

It states from nought to six months you should use techniques including talking about what you are doing as you feed, change and bathe them, singing to your baby, and repeating the sounds they make back at them to teach them about listening and taking turns in conversation.
