Popular parenting site Nameberry.com has come to the rescue, compiling a list of the baby names expected to be the most popular in 2022.
Nameberry's list of popular names is updated monthly in order to illustrate the names parents are most fond of in "almost real time".
The website's most popular names are different from the official name popularity lists in that they predict future popularity, not record which names were used most in the past.
Popular girl names at the moment include the Irish goddess name Maeve, the moon goddess name Luna, as well as the ancient Roman name Aurelia.
Trends spotted among boy names this year include names that end in O such as Theo and Otto, as well as ancient names, like Cassius and Atlas, making a comeback. Biblical names such as Ezra and Asher are also proving popular - though they've not made it into the top 10.
