A BABY girl has died after taking unwell at a popular Scottish holiday resort.
Emergency services rushed to Craig Tara caravan park in Ayr in the early hours of Saturday morning before the one-year-old was taken to hospital.
The baby girl died a short time later and is currently being treated as unexplained.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police received a report of a one-year-old baby girl having taken unwell at an address in the Dunure Road of Ayr around 5.50am on Saturday.
“The baby was taken to University Hospital Ayr where she died a short time later.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
