Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a baby girl in Newcastle last week.
Emergency crews were called to a home at Fowler Street, Hamilton South, about 10.40am on Tuesday after a report that a three-month-old had been found unresponsive.
She was rushed to John Hunter Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Newcastle police set-up a crime scene and specialist forensic investigators combed the property.
A police spokesperson said on Monday a post-mortem would be conducted on the child's body to establish a cause of death.
Investigators have not charged anyone over the tragedy.
Detectives on Monday were continuing their investigation.
