Baby girl delivered by staff members and shopper at service station in Ashbourne, Meath

A baby girl was delivered by a shop supplier, a member of the public and three staff members in Ashbourne, Meath last week.

The little baby was born in King's Gala Service station on Tuesday, 9 April just after 5pm.

Assistant manager of the store, Lorraine Byrne, told Dublin Live that it was all hands on deck at the store during the birth.

She said: "Stephen Reid who actually works in Ashbourne Farm - who supply directly beside us - was on site at the time.

"He was assisted by staff members, Jack Geraghty, Mary Reilly, Siobhan Doherthy and an unnamed person of the public."

She continued: "It happened last Tuesday after 5pm. Neither Jerry Brady (the store manager) or I were there for the birth, sadly."
