An 18-month-old boy who travelled from Melbourne to Hobart with his mother last Thursday has tested positive to COVID-19.
The toddler flew into the state with his mother who did not have a valid Good to Go travel pass.
They were stopped at Hobart Airport and taken to hotel quarantine.
Both were tested for COVID-19 while in quarantine, and Public Health Tasmania was informed of the infant's positive result on Sunday.
"The two were transferred to Hobart's Community Case Management Facility this evening," Tasmania's Deputy Director of Public Health Dr Julie Graham said in a statement on Sunday.
"The child is well.
Hobart's airport has now been listed as a low-risk exposure site between 8:25pm and 9:50pm on Thursday, November 18.
People who were at the airport at that time have been asked to monitor themselves and to get tested if symptoms develop.
