Baby Blippi: Kids' YouTube sensation Stevin John announces he's going to be a dad

Anyone with a toddler or child in the household is bound to be familiar with YouTube sensation Blippi.

If you haven't, the educational live-action show follows the energetic Blippi as he teaches children various lessons on arts and crafts, letters, numbers and colours - all whilst donning his famous orange bowtie and suspenders. Often the character will visit museums, aquariums and soft play centres on his journeys, finding ways to let children join in on the fun from home.

The channel was launched in 2014, and despite being a American series, has been a huge hit with parents and children in the UK too.

Now the man behind the character and series, Stevin John, has announced he's about to become a dad himself.

The 33-year-old made the announcement on Instagram that he and his fiancée Alyssa Ingham are expecting a baby in 2022.

The caption read: "I'm going to be a Dad! @alyssaingham and I [are] so excited!!! Parenthood coming 2022!"

The pair accompanied the post with a photo of them kissing and a ultrasound of baby Blippi.

Parents immediately took to social media to congratulate the pair.

One wrote: "Imagine being this kid and just strolling through life not even knowing what an absolute legend their dad is."

Another person commented: "Yeah, so my dad is Blippi. Biggest playground flex."

Several mums were wondering whether Stevin would introduce his future child to the Youtube series.

One mum wrote: "But, when your kid is a toddler, will you be able to bribe him with Blippi videos or will it be too obvious it's dad?"

Another chimed in to say: "Oh congratulations! Biggest question is whether Blippi will be played 24/7 or banned for life in this household."
