Baby Archie's hair colour officially confirmed by proud mum Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle has confirmed five-month-old Archie's hair colour.

Fans had previously debated if the tot looked more like his mum, or his 35-year-old father Prince Harry .

Some drew attention to what they claimed was "tufts of reddish hair".

And tonight the 38-year-old duchess told a mother he does have red hair.

Speaking to parents at the annual Wellchild Awards in central London, Meghan candidly chatted to mum and daughter Milly Sutherland, 11, and her mother Angela, 50.

The relatives, from Liverpool, asked the couple whether Archie has red hair.

Angela said: “Meghan said he has and Harry said he definitely is, you can see it in his eyebrows.

“Harry said he’d had no hair for five months, but Meghan told him she had taken him to the playgroup and she said there were other children there with the same amount of hair or even less.”

Milly received the Most Caring Child Award for having cared for and protected her sister Sophie, who had Aicardi Syndrome and tragically passed away in 2018.

Asked how her chat with Harry and Meghan had gone, Milly replied simply: “Boss!”

After Archie's christening in July , the baby's hair divided social media.

One person wrote: "Archie is so beautiful and cute. I see he got his dad's ginger hair."

Another agreed: "Archie is ginger like daddy."

But others compared his appearance to that of Meghan.

"He looks just like his momma," said one.

"He's such a cutie!!! Looks a lot like Meghan too," typed another.

Meghan also told parents earlier today.

The former actress said: “I just took Archie for his first [playgroup] class.

"It was a lot of fun. He loved it.”
