Baby almost hit as people throw brick from roof of Tesco car park

A baby was almost hit by an object after offenders threw items, including a brick, from the top floor of a Tesco supermarket car park. The 10-month-old infant was in their pushchair when two people threw objects onto a zebra crossing in Yeovil.

Police have issued an appeal for information on the incident, with other members of the public also narrowly avoiding being struck. The incident happened between 4.45pm and 5pm on Thursday, March 10 on the crossing between Westminster Street and the Tesco store in Huish.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset said: "We’re appealing for anyone in the area who saw the two offenders, who were both wearing dark clothing, or anyone who may have captured them on their dash cams while in the car park. If you can help, please contact us."
