Two women have appeared in court this week after a baby in Midlothian was allegedly given wine from a bottle.
25-year-old Chloe Hutchinson and 22-year-old Zoe Stewart, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
The pair have both been charged with child protection offences.
Hutchinson is facing added charges of drug offences and breaching the communications act.
Both of the women entered no plea.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that two women - aged 25 and 22 - have been charged with child protection offences following an incident within a property in Mayfield, Midlothian on Tuesday, January 28.
"All children have been traced and provided with appropriate medical attention and care."
