A 14-month-old girl was killed after she crawled behind a reversing car in her family's driveway.

Police in Queensland, Australia, confirmed the tragic accident took place last weekend.

It is not yet clear who had been driving the vehicle at the time of the accident.

In New Zealand last week, a desperate father was heard screaming "my baby's inside" as he tried to save a young boy and his baby sister who perished in a tragic house fire.

Fire crews were called to the scene at 10.45pm on Tuesday after a blaze broke out at the one-storey bungalow home in Christchurch.

But they arrived too late to save the young victims, now named as Brayden, eight, and Arianna, nine months.

A fire chief who was at the scene described the inferno as "unsurvivable".
