Babies with these names are more likely to be millionaires and they're probably not what you'd think

Now we all know money doesn't bring happiness, but it can certainly make life a lot easier.

And if you're hoping for grand things for your offspring then you might want to consider one of these baby names.

An exclusive online marketplace serving some of the world’s wealthiest consumers has revealed the top 10 baby names for boys and girls, who are most likely to become millionaires later in life.

Following the birth of the Royal baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, many expect the name Archie to gain in popularity in the coming years.

While the newest Royal is already set for a life of privilege and riches, it's other names that are currently topping the list of millionaires - and they might not be what you'd imagine.

Some Royal names like Edward, William and Victoria feature in the list, but there are also more traditional names among them, like John, David and James for boys and Gina, Jacqueline and Linda for girls.

HushHush.com published the list after analysing its own internal data, as well as public information such as the Sunday Times Rich List, to highlight the names most common among millionaires.

The top 10 millionaire baby names for girls and boys are:

Boys

  1. David
  2. Edward
  3. William
  4. John
  5. Mark
  6. Oliver
  7. Oscar
  8. George
  9. James
  10. Lawrence

Girls

  1. Alice
  2. Kate
  3. Lily
  4. Mary
  5. Victoria
  6. Jacqueline
  7. Gina
  8. Jennifer
  9. Rachel
  10. Linda

According to the data from HushHush, David is the most common male name among its customers, while Alice is the most common forename among its female clientele.

David and John are both common names at the top of this year’s Sunday Times Rich List. David Reuben and Sir David Barclay are worth a combined £26.6 billion, while John Fredriksen and John Coates have amassed a £14.3 billion fortune.

Aaron Harpin, founder of HushHush.com, which connects wealthy shoppers with luxury brands and products such as yachts and luxury villas, said: “Every parent wants to give their child the best start in life, and that begins with picking a name.

"It’s an important and often challenging thing to do, and this list aims to give mums and dads-to-be some inspiration for names that may give them a greater chance of becoming a millionaire in the future.

“It’s almost a self-fulfilling prophecy from birth – giving your child a successful sounding may inspire them to strive for success throughout their life.

"So, if you’re about to welcome your own bundle of joy, you may want to give these names some careful consideration."
