Babble buys second Scottish business

Cyber and mobile solutions provider Babble has announced another Scottish acquisition.

The latest deal, for Kilmarnock-based Halo Communications, follows its September acquisition of Dumfries-based IT services provider 8020.

Having completed nine acquisitions in the last 12 months, Babble now has a presence across the South Coast, the North West, the North East and in Scotland, in addition to the Midlands and London.

The company also stated solid organic growth, with bookings 90% ahead of 2020.

Halo Communications offers voice, data and IT services to small and medium-sized businesses across the UK.

Matthew Parker, chief executive of Babble, said: “In recent months we’ve focused our growth towards the North of England and Scotland - there is outstanding technology talent in these regions, and in Halo Communications we’ve acquired a business that aligns perfectly with our goals and ambitions.”

Allan Moffat, managing director of Halo Communications, said: “Becoming a part of a likeminded, exciting, innovative company such as Babble is a fantastic milestone in our journey.”

Babble now has more than 4,000 customers, with 25,000 unified communications as a service, 34,000 mobile and 4,000 contact centre as a service users, as well as an expanding cyber, IT and managed services customer base.

The London-headquartered business also now has more than 200 staff located across the UK.
