'Baahubali: Before The Beginning' series was in the news a few months ago when the director who had been assigned to helm it had either quit or been dismissed. Reportedly, the makers hadn't liked quite a bit of the stuff that he'd dished out, and then, Mrunal Thakur walked out of the project. While it was not revealed so far, we have learned that the director in question was Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy who's known for films like '99 Songs' (2019), 'Bring on the Night' (2012), and 'The Untitled Kartik Krishnan Project'.
Well, the show is now back on track but with major changes. ETimes has learned that now two directors are wielding the megaphone for it. While Mrunal has not returned to the project, the pre-production work has begun afresh. We can now also confirm that Kunal Deshmukh and Ribhu Dasgupta are the directors who are currently working on the project. Deshmukh has directed 'Jannat', 'Jannat 2', 'Shiddat' amongst others, and Dasgupta recently helmed the Parineeti Chopra starrer 'The Girl On The Train'.
