Baaghi villain Sudheer Babu can’t stop raving about co-star Tiger Shroff

Sudheer Babu, a Telugu actor who will make his Hindi film debut with Baaghi, has only good things to say about his co-star Tiger Shroff.

“Tiger gets inspired seeing me in the film, but in real life I’ve got inspired seeing him. Fighting is not about hitting each other, it’s also like dancing; you need to get the timing correct,” Sudheer said, at his ‘special unveiling’ for media.

“He always made sure he doesn’t hit the opposite person.. for me I hit him once, but he was very calm and he didn’t even complain about it. I was the one who stopped the shot and said ‘sorry’, but he didn’t stop the shot,” he said.

“Tiger is one bundle of energy, before the shoot or after the shoot, he used to work out. Even during the shoot he is doing some movement, some dance move or some kick he’ll be practising. I used to feel that the only time he’s resting is while he’s sleeping,” the actor added.

Sudheer is the brother-in-law of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and had made his debut as a full-fledged hero with Siva Manasulo Sruthi in 2012.

In Baaghi, he is the villain of the film who abducts Shraddha Kapoor’s character, for which Tiger has to go to Thailand to rescue her. He will be seen showcasing his Kalaripayattu moves in the film, and has a very chiselled and bulky physique like it can be seen in the trailer.

“When I’m doing Telugu films, there wasn’t much competition from the opposite side, but right now I have Tiger opposite to me, so it was really tough, really needed to work very hard to match up with him,” he said.

About getting slotted in the “villain” bracket? “I wanted to be recognized as a very good actor, that’s my first priority, and I’ve seen that there is a lot of scope for performance in the character I play.”

Baaghi is directed by Sabbir Khan and releases on April 29.
