BA air hostess 'suspended after her boyfriend had alcohol-fuelled fight with pilot'

A British Airways stewardess has been suspended amid allegations her boyfriend had an alcohol-fuelled bust-up with a pilot at a hotel, it has been claimed.

Natalie Flindall's partner is believed to have wrestled with the BA first officer in the reception area of the establishment in Singapore.

The crew were staying there between flights and some staff members had allegedly been drinking at the hotel.

"Some of the crew got plastered, allegedly using drinks smuggled off the BA in-flight trolley.

"Natalie had invited her boyfriend on the trip. He was meant to take a back seat and just enjoy the ride," an airline insider told Sun on Sunday .

Now Natalie, of Reading, Berkshire, is under investigation for bringing her partner onto the flight, it is understood.

But it remains unclear if the pilot faces any consequences.

The staff were scheduled to continue on to London.

"There was a melee and Natalie’s boyfriend hit out," the insider added.

Natalie has served as a British Airways cabin crew for three years.

But BA, whose website says Mixed Fleet Cabin Crew earn on average between £23,000 and £28,000 per annum, said it takes action after alleged misconduct.

A statement says the firm "expects the highest standard of behaviour from our colleagues" and "always take the appropriate action".

Mirror Online has contacted British Airways for comment.
