B*Witched's Edele Lynch threatened by neighbour with chainsaw in horrifying incident

B*Witched singer Edele Lynch recalled the moment she was threatened by a neighbour with a chainsaw during a horrifying incident.

The star was with her dad when she went house-hunting in 2001 - shortly after the band was dropped by Sony.

B*Witched was an Irish girl group consisting of Edele and her twin sister Keavy, as well as Lindsay Armaou and Sinéad O’Carroll.

After buying a three-bedroom house, she had an argument with a neighbour who ended up coming at her with a chainsaw when Edele had requested he take his bathroom suite out of her garden, the Irish Mirror reports.

She explained: “It was a crazy time. I moved back to Ireland and I bought my first home. In fact, it was a funny story.

“The first home I bought, it was a three-bedroom house, which I absolutely loved and I wanted to dress it up to exactly how I wanted it to be.”

Edele continued: “And just before I moved in, the neighbour who was moving in beside us – he had moved his bathroom our into my garden, so I was like ‘eh’. I had worker men coming.

“So I said ‘can you move the bathroom because I’ve worker men coming and I don’t want to break your bathroom suite’ and he was like ‘excuse me?’ and he got really annoyed.”

She clarified that she was fine with the bathroom suite being in her garden but told him to move it as she had people ‘coming in and out’ and feared it might break.

“But he got so angry that he went back into the house and he came out with a chainsaw turned the bloody thing and came at me and my dad with it going absolutely mental,” the 41-year-old continued on the Starting Over with B*Witched podcast.

“So that was a notice from above that I do not want to move into this house. Needless to say, I never moved in there.”
