B&Q shoppers say 'brilliant' £40 tower fan 'cools rooms in minutes'

B&Q shoppers looking to bring down the temperature have been rushing out to nab a bargain tower fan that they say "cools down rooms in minutes."

Over the past few weeks, the mercury across the UK has soared, resulting in hot and stuffy homes. One great solution for the warm weather is to invest in a fan. Even better, you don't have to break the bank, as some bargain models can do the job just as well as expensive brands.

One such product is the White 3-speed Tower Fan from B&Q, which has been the subject of glowing reviews from rather impressed shoppers who say it is a "life saver" during a scorching summer heatwave.

Available to buy online, this summer essential costs just £40, making it one of the more affordable tower fans on the market. Some pricier brands can cost hundreds of pounds, with a popular Dyson model costing a whopping £349.99 from Argos.

The White 3-speed Tower Fan is currently trending on the B&Q website, as it can fit neatly into the corner of any room in the house. Its three-speeds provide a constant, yet comfortable, breeze with its 70 degree oscillation to gently lower the temperature of the air around you.

Multiple shoppers have raved about the White 3-speed Tower Fan online, with a lot of them praising it for its affordability and ability to bring down the temperature in the summer.

One glowing review read: "I bought this yesterday in store & I love it! When my neighbour saw it working, she decided to purchase one immediately. It's white in colour, tall & slimline. It has 3 speeds, it oscillates with the press of a button & it has a handy 2hr timer! Very easy to assemble, only needs the base attached with 4 screws. Brilliant price & cheaper than anywhere I'd researched. It looks so much better than the £97 pound model which you can see on line & does what it says on the box. Would highly recommend."

A second exclaimed: "Have been meaning to buy a fan for couple of years and always put it off due to being indecisive and thinking I needed a Dyson fan to get any real quality... However, with a baby in tow I just had to get on with it as it's for our bedroom that she sleeps in as well. Saw this one had top reviews while I was in store... Nearly bought a similar but branded one with remote for £43 but I reckon this does exactly the same job for a lot less money! Very very quiet, yet ample power to stir a decent breeze on just the first setting. Cools down our whole bedroom very nicely! And, is light weight yet sturdy fitting sleekly in the corner, very unobtrusive. Very happy, and kept all of us including baby very cool and comfortable all night."

A third added: "I recently bought a bionaire tower fan 3x the price of this fan, after 20 mins I decided to return it. This fan has impressed me so far (and I'm fussy) It cools my small room in mins. I'd recommend this! Also apart from the obvious fan noise it's pretty much silent when oscillating. Big thumbs up for me!!!"

While a fourth wrote: "Lifesaver every summer! Not sure why so many bad reviews. We’ve had this for several years now we get it out every summer and it’s brilliant, it really does circulate cold air and is quiet. Just came on to buy another and noticed the bad reviews so had to share my experience. I want one in every room!"

The £40 White 3-speed Tower Fan is available to purchase from the B&Q website.
