B&Q launches Christmas lights that cost just 50p a month to run

B&Q has launched a brand-new range of Christmas lights that cost just 50p a month to run.

As the cost of living crisis continues, many shoppers are looking for cheaper ways to decorate their homes this Christmas. The popular DIY retailer has brought out the collection of LED multifunction lights to help people add some Christmas cheer to their homes for less.

Those who prefer a cosier Christmas decoration can opt for a set of 120 warm white LED string lights, which are currently reduced from £9 to £6.75. The collection also includes 240 ice white LED string lights on a green cable, down to £11.25 from £15.

Shoppers looking to add a pop of colour to their home can choose from a collection of multicoloured LED string lights. The brightly coloured lights are available in 120, 240, 400 or 720 LEDs.

The lights are calculated to cost 50p a month based on the current energy cap and standard home tariff if switched on for 8.5 hours a day for 30 days. Rates are averages and vary depending on region, payment method and metre type.
