A big-hearted B&M staff member has been praised for helping an elderly customer with his shopping - after spotting the gentleman struggling to walk.
Nicky Spink, who works at the shop in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, became concerned when he spotted the elderly man struggling while shopping at the store.
Rather than leaving him to it, Nicky got the pensioner a chair to sit on and asked the man for his shopping list, collected the required items and checked the items out at the till, report Derbyshire Live.
The customer service supervisor said: "It was my pleasure to help the customer with his shopping - I don't like to see any of our customers struggling in store.
"This is definitely one of the more rewarding parts of my job role.
"I love getting to know our customers and hopefully make a difference in their lives."
With the heartwarming gesture finding its way onto social media, one woman commented: "Proof that good people, kindness and good customer service do still exist.
"They brought this customer a chair out to the front of the store, asked what was on the list and then went and collected it for him.
"Well done B&M Bargains, Swadlincote."
Responding, one person said: "Bless them, such a wonderful thing to do."
Another said: "This is brilliant. Well done, hope someone lets head office know what a fantastic employee he is."
A third said: "That young man is always so pleasant and helpful. A credit to B&M."
