B&M slashes prices on £50 fleecy heated blankets - for as little as £4

The weather is miserable and we're all feeling the winter chills - but B&M might have the toasty solution we've all been looking for.

The store is slashing prices on Silentnight's Comfort Control Fleecy Electric Blanket, a bestseller on Amazon, which usually retails for £50.

Shoppers are loving the bargain prices, with one reporting she picked up a king size version of the blanket at a hugely discounted price of £4.

Posting on the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group Facebook page , the savvy shopper wrote: "Went to B&M (Hull) to get a heated blanket - almost walked away with the last double then just decided to check the price of the fleecy one which was only in size king to see the price difference.

"It came up at £4 so checked the size would fit my double bed. It does! So went to the till, asked her to check and she was like yeah that's what it says, so got two.

"Not sure if it’s an error. RRP £40-50."

Another member of the group replied to say: "No error - this was last year's stock. They didn't bother putting up in price this year again and selling off nationwide so they'll keep reducing them until they're all gone."

A second replied to the post to say B&M 'do this all the time' and advised using the B&M app to scan items as you shop, which she said shows items come up as £1 even when they are priced for as much as £16 on the shelves.

The blanket has racked up thousands of five star reviews online, including one happy customer who said: "I have ordered this as my flat is super cold, goes down to about 13 degrees when the heating is off!

"I've put this on level 2 at 8pm and got into bed at 9.50pm and it's like actual heaven. It's sooo toasty and I'm not wrapped up like normal! Very happy!"
