B&M shoppers divided over Cadbury's new Twirl bar as some argue it's 'same as a Timeout'

Cadbury has been slammed by B&M shoppers for releasing a new chocolate bar that they deem to be basically 'the same as a Timeout'.

The chocolate giant has recently teamed up with the retailer to announce the release of the new Cadbury Twirl Breakaway Bars.

On Instagram, the account newfoodsuk shared a picture of the tasty treat - which has two bars of swirls and curls inside layers of crispy wafer and is coated in milk chocolate.

But eagle-eyed internet users thought the chocolate bar looked rather familiar - and went so far as to say this new release was just a repackaged Time Out, reports Manchester Evening News.

"Isn't this just a Time Out??" one asked.

Another echoed: "Sooo it's a Time Out?"

"Like the original Time Outs," a third recalled.

A fourth added: "These look like the original Time Outs."

"This is just a Time Out?? What happened to them," another asked.

Well, for chocolate fans, the Time Out bar was known for the tag line: "The wafer break with a layer of Flake."

The original launched in the UK in 1992 and consisted of a ripple of milk chocolate between two wafers, smothered in Dairy Milk milk chocolate.

However, a re-brand in 2016 then saw the bar discontinued and it now only appears to be available in Australia.

So the new Cadbury Twirl Breakaway Bars could be the next big thing.

And despite the confusion, many shoppers are already keen to get their hands on one.

"OMG NEEEEEEEEEEDD," one said.

Another added: "Can’t actually tell you how much I need these."

"I’m taking a BREAK from work and AWAY I go to @bm_stores," a third added.

While a fourth said to a friend: "It’s a Time Out pretending to be something else! We need to buy some!!"

What do you think of the new chocolate bar, is it just the same as a Timeout? Let us know in the comments...
