B&M shopper reveals money-saving trick to getting everything from furniture to toys for £1

B&M Bargains shoppers have been revealing how customers can pick up "secret" discounts on a range of items.

The high street retailer has a mobile app, which is available to download for free on any smartphone, that lets you scan items on the shop floor - and it is the key to making huge savings.

Customers have been shouting about the mammoth discounts they have been picking up, which have included furniture for just £1 and seasonal stock for an incredible 10p.

The app works using a handy scanner tool that shoppers can use to check for up to date prices. It also has a personalised service that tells you when discounts land before they go fully public.

To use it, all you have to do is scan the barcode of the product on your phone to see the price current price of the item.

On  Facebook page Extreme Couponing, one shopper clocked up more than 6,000 likes after she managed to pick up a £49 chest of drawers for just £1 using the app, reports the Mirror.

Elsewhere, another thrifty customer managed to take home a 100% cotton Silentnight towel for just £4 instead of £19.99.

How the B&M app works

  1. The app is available to download for free on both the  Google Play  and  Apple Store
  2. Once downloaded onto your mobile device, open the app.
  3. You will be given the option to register, sign-in or skip. For the purposes of using the Barcode Scanner Press Skip.
  4. Along the bottom of the app, you will see several options with the final option displaying more.
  5. The 'Scan The Item Barcode' tool will show you the item price and reduced price if the item has been discounted further.
