B&M Bargains employee was threatened after confronting man over suspected theft

Police have released an image of a man they'd like to speak to after a member of staff at a B&M Bargains store was threatened.

According to police, a man attempted to leave the store at the Madford Retail Park in Mansfield Road, Daybrook, with six bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey.

The man was stopped by security who challenged him during the incident at around 1.10pm on November 8.

The man allegedly became aggressive and threatened a member of staff, police said.

Officers have now released an image of a man they'd like to speak to in connection with the incident.

PC Ash Smith, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This must have been a terrifying experience for the staff in the shop, but also any members of public who witnessed the incident.

"The man eventually left the store without the items. Thankfully no one was hurt in the incident.

"We now want to speak to the man pictured in connection with the incident.

"He has been described as a black man, aged mid-30s, 6ft 4ins in height, stocky build with a shaved head.

"He was wearing a light blue Ralph Lauren baseball cap, blue jacket and grey jogging bottoms.

"He also had a black rucksack with him and a black mountain bike with green writing on it."

Anyone with information is asked to call the force on 101, quoting incident 256 of November 8.
