Azzam Raguragui's parents thank gardai and Irish public as tragic teen's funeral arrangements announced

Tragic teen Azzam Raguragui's family have sent their gratitude to the Irish public as his funeral details have been announced.

The 18-year-old, who was tragically stabbed to death in Dundrum last Friday, will be laid to rest at Newcastle Cemetery after people pay their respects in the Islamic Cultural Centre in Clonskeagh.

Respects will be paid on Friday between 11am and 12.30pm in the centre before he is brought to the cemetery for funeral prayer.

In a post on RIP.ie, Azzam's distraught parents Hajiba Elouaddaf and Abderrahmane Raguaragui thanked gardai and the Irish public for their support.

They said: "We, the family of the late Azzam Raguragui, would like to thank most sincerely all those who have sympathised with us on our recent loss.

"We offer our heartfelt thanks to our friends, community and well-wishers who have visited our home, posted message of support and who have provided practical support at this difficult time.

"On Friday, 17th May, we will pay our respects to Azzam between 11.00 am and 12.30pm in the seminar room of the Islamic Cultural Centre, Clonskeagh.

"We advise anyone who would like to join us to attend promptly at 11.00am. The funeral prayer will be held at 2pm and our much loved son Azzam will be laid to rest at Newcastle Cemetery.

"We, Azzam’s parents, Hajiba Elouaddaf and Abderrahmane Raguaragui, would like to issue a special word of thanks to the Irish public, An Garda Síochána and the State for their support during this difficult time.

"To those who have helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude."
