The Aberdeen office of accountancy firm Azets has taken a further 2,000 sq ft of space at its Albyn Place offices, with capacity for a further 20 staff.
The office now extends to 6,000 sq ft and with the firm’s new hybrid working model the business is planning to employ around 100 staff in the city by the end of 2022.
Azets' regional managing partner David Booth said: “The additional space means that we have the capacity to accelerate our expansion plans and continue to hire a wide range of talent from across the North East, including expanding our established graduate and trainee recruitment programme.”
The firm has also strengthened its new corporate tax team with a further two senior hires.
Jenna McDonald joins as a corporate tax manager, moving from Anderson Anderson Brown. She has advised a range of businesses on corporation tax and is also a specialist in R&D Tax Relief.
Chelsea Robertson also joins as a corporate tax manager and brings experience advising fast-growing businesses on their UK and international tax strategies.
Frazer Nicol, head of corporate tax in Aberdeen, said: “Jenna and Chelsea will be a major asset to our clients as we broaden and extend our range of services and specialist expertise.”
Azets has also appointed Jamie Summerton as a specialist consultant, responsible for managing the audit team.
He is returning to the profession following a lengthy period working in a senior financial leadership role in the food manufacturing industry. Prior to this, he worked for several mid-tier and Big Four firms.
