Azeez Ojulari, Graham Gano set new single-season Giants records

The New York Giants were upended in Week 13, falling to the Miami Dolphins, 20-9, down in Florida.

The loss essentially ends any remaining hope the Giants had at the playoffs and thrusts them into offseason mode (mentally). A lot of decisions will need to be made in the coming weeks and massive change is expected.

But before we get into all of that, several records were broken or set on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium. Here’s a look at those, as well as some other notable numbers and statistics.

  • With the loss, the Giants have now dropped four straight road games.
  • The Giants failed to score a touchdown for the first time since December 20, 2020 (vs. Cleveland Browns).
  • The Giants have gone four straight games without eclipsing 300 yards of total offense.
  • Riley Dixon punted six times, a season-high.
  • The Giants’ streak of 13 consecutive games with at least one takeaway came to an end.
  • Daniel Jones (neck) missed his fifth game since becoming the Giants’ starter in 2019.
  • With his 73 yards from scrimmage, Saquon Barkley went over 4,000 total yards for his career. He is the first Giants player to amass 4,000-plus scrimmage yards in 39 games.
  • Ben Bredeson saw his first action since September 26.
  • The Giants defense held Miami to just 297 yards, the second-lowest total by an opponent this season.
  • The Giants held the Dolphins to just 67 yards rushing, also the second-lowest for an opponent this year.
  • With his sack on Sunday, Azeez Ojulari set the Giants’ all-time single-season sack record for a rookie (6.5). The record was previously held by B.J. Hill (5.5).
  • With his field goal from 51 yards out, Graham Gano set the Giants’ single-season record for converted field goals from beyond 50 yards (6).
