Azealia Banks called a flight attendant a homophobic slur while trying to exit a plane on Monday night, a video obtained by TMZ shows.

The rapper was on a flight from New York to LA that landed just before 1am on Tuesday, TMZ reported.

The video obtained by TMZ shows Banks playing tug-of-war with a flight attendant over her luggage, saying: “Give me my bag.” She then calls the flight attendant a “fucking faggot”.

A spokesperson for Delta Air Lines said in a statement: “We are aware of the situation and are looking into it.”

On Twitter, where she has frequently used homophobic slurs, Banks defended her actions, according to the New York Daily News: “Ok so I get hit in the face by a man and no one cares. The [sic] only hear what I called the man who was blocking my exit,” she wrote.

“I don’t care. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I don’t tolerate bitchassness and I don’t tolerate men putting their hands on me.”

Banks has since deleted the tweets.
