Azaylia Cain's devastated mum says she's suffering 'torment and torture every day'

Azaylia Cain's mum Safiyya Vorajee opened up about her heartbreaking grief on Instagram following the death of her baby girl.

The grieving mother got candid on her Story and admitted that everyday is "torment and torture" since her daughter's death last month.

Speaking to her camera, Ashley Cain's partner began: "Anxiety for me at the moment is like a massive, massive topic.

"How I'm struggling, how I'm grieving and how I'm trying to get myself up every morning and be able to get up and out to the shop or go to the gym, just all these small little tasks..."

After acknowledging a communal sense of anxiety among her followers in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, Safiyya discussed her grief since Azalyia's passing and admitted she's leaning emotionally on her partner Ashley.

She continued: "So like for me, I came back from the gym and I came in home and just sat down with Ashley and talked to him and cried and let it all out...

"And it's like the pain and torment that there on a daily basis in your mind you might be able to get up and do something physically but mentally it's torment and torture every single day like for us.

"And trying to overcome that is really, really challenging but I know," Safiyya shared.

"Azalyia would want us to get up and get sorted but like it's really, really tough really, really hard."

Yesterday, the grieving mum showed her social media followers the beautiful display of flowers laid in tribute to her little one.

Her name Azaylia was spelled out in white flowers with orange blooms flecking through the design.

Orange flowers and balloons decorated her grave and a cute lion cuddly was left behind for Azaylia. She wrote alongside the shots: "Miss you baby. I love you."

Hundreds of people lined the streets in Nuneaton for the funeral after Azaylia's story moved everyone across the globe.

The parents broke down in tears saying goodbye to their daughter.

Safiyya and Ashley had raised £1.5million in donations to fly Azaylia to Singapore for special treatment but further complications showed it was not possible.

They made the most of their time they had with little Azaylia, who sadly passed away in April at just eight-months-old following her leukaemia battle.

The proud parents have been sharing their grief with their loyal following on social media.

Recently, Ashley said there were "many tears, sadness and broken hearts" at his daughter's funeral.

In a lengthy post, he wrote in full: "We shared so many tears, sadness and broken hearts on Friday. The day I buried my daughter, something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

"The weight of it it hasn’t really sank in yet, and I don’t know if it ever will. But I do know that I promised to do her proud, channelling her incredible energy every day for the rest of my life.

"So, despite Friday being the most devastating day any parent could go through, it was also beautiful. We remembered and reflected on how amazing Azaylia was; the love that she created and the pure, positive energy that she possessed throughout.

"I would do ANYTHING to bring my little angel back. She meant more to me than life itself and the fact I cannot change what has happened breaks me to pieces. It is something I will carry until the day I hold her in again in paradise.

"But, for now, I feel proud that we could give her the send off she deserved, a tribute to her short but impactful life... A beautiful life full of colour, strength, song and determination to enjoy every moment, even when dealt the toughest of hands.

"Thank you to everyone... Family, friends and supporters that made this day a special day for azaylia. Thank you to all those who came to wave her off.

"And thank you to everyone who continues to support us throughout this journey. You lift our spirits more than you will ever know, thank you.

"Azaylia, we love you and we miss you so so much baby. MY CHAMPION."
