AZ squad latest for Celtic clash as Teun Koopmeiners included in Europa League list and late reinforcements arrive

AZ Alkmaar have included wantaway midfielder Teun Koopmeiners in their Europa League squad list to face Celtic.

The sides meet at Celtic Park on Wednesday night in a massive play-off first leg with a group stage berth at stake.

Midfielder and captain Koopmeiners was absent completely from AZ's Eredivisie opener against RKC Waalwijk and his manager confirmed that was due to the recent transfer speculation.

However he's front and centre on the official UEFA squad list for the midweek battle.

After picking his team on Saturday, manager Pascal Jansen told ESPN: "Teun is fit, he is getting fitter, but he has also indicated in recent weeks that he would like to move.

"I want eleven people on the field today who are thinking about AZ."

Alkmaar have also added some late reinforcements in the form of goalkeeper Peter Vindahl Jensen, who has joined from FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark.

The shot-stopper has already trained with his new team-mates and, in a similar vein to Celtic's rush to include Joe Hart in the Jablonec tie, could feature in Glasgow.

Meanwhile, Ange Postecoglou's list curiously omits 17-year-old defender Leo Hjelde.

The Norwegian was included in the squad for the tie against Jablonec but is nowhere to be seen in this week's roll call.

The teenager has long been linked with a move to Leeds United and it was reported over the weekend that a fee had been agreed between the clubs.
