Angry AZ have hit out at a TV blackout for their Europa League clash against Celtic at Parkhead.
The dismayed Dutch club have questioned why Hoops chiefs couldn’t strike a deal for the play off first leg to be screened live.
AZ admitted it was up to Celtic, who hold the rights as the host club, to negotiate a deal with a broadcaster in Holland.
And the Eredivisie side said in a statement ahead of the match: “AZ finds it extremely disappointing that no Dutch broadcaster has managed to obtain the rights, which belong to the home club in this round.
“Such a fixture, which is also of enormous importance for Dutch football, deserves to be broadcast.
“For reasons that are unclear to AZ, the rights holder and Dutch broadcasters have not come to an agreement.”
Celtic have announced the match can be purchased on pay per view and AZ posted details to the Celtic TV channel.
