It mentions that there are 3 troublesome elements present in the human body that are Vata (Air and Ether), Pitta (Fire and Water) and Kapha (Earth and Water). The amount of these elements keeps on fluctuating according to the time.Vata is associated with the muscular, breathing, blinking and tissue & cell movements. Pitta is associated with the digestion, excretion, metabolism, and body temperature processes. Kapha is related to the body’s structure i.e. bones, tendons, & muscles, while providing the adhesive to hold the cells together and helping in the lubrication of joints.
