Ayrshire trains cancelled due to high winds and heavy rain

Trains running to Ayrshire this evening have been cancelled due to bad weather.

ScotRail say that certain services to the area won't be running and there is NO replacement service in place.

The rail provider said: "Due to high winds, sea spray and heavy rain, services between Glasgow Central, Ardrossan Harbour and Largs will be cancelled, delayed or revised.

"To help keep you moving, we have ticket acceptance in place with Stagecoach West between Kilwinning and Ardrossan.

"Due to no replacement transport being available, passengers are advised to make alternative arrangements."
