Ayrshire soldier reported as AWOL leaving mum 'worried sick'

An Ayrshire man in the army has been confirmed as being AWOL, leaving his mum "worried sick".

Nathan Strachan, 25, hasn't been seen or in touch with anyone since September 29, and it's believed he was last seen in Galston.

His mum, Josie, posted an appeal on Facebook as she desperately tries to find her son.

She said: "This is my son Nathan Strachan, I found out this morning the Army have reported him AWOL.

"After speaking to his friends and family I found out no one has seen him since Sunday, September 29.

"He’s 25 years old 6ft 2in, athletic build, dirty blond hair.

"Please if anyone has seen him or knows anything get in touch I’m worried sick about him, thanks."
