Queen Margaret Academy in Ayr posted a score of 45 per cent - up seven per cent on last year's rating.

Next up was Prestwick Academy on 44 per cent with Ayr's Belmont Academy on 35 per cent.

Girvan Academy (34 per cent) came next, while in East Ayrshire, Auchinleck Academy (33 per cent) and Cumnock Academy (27 per cent) achieved the five Highers.

Carrick Academy (26 per cent) came next with Ayr Academy (14 per cent) ranked 330th out of the 344 state schools in Scotland.
