Ayrshire restaurant launches new Valentine's Day menu this weekend

The Niche, based at Irvine's Harbourside, is serving up a dinner devoted to lovers this Valentine's Day weekend.

Chefs have clearly been struck by Cupid's arrow after revealing their romantic menu available from Saturday, February 12 to Monday, February 14.

First up is a baked camembert for two. Served with red onion chutney, Halkidiki olives marinated in chillis and herbs, and Niche-made Parma ham puff twists with black sesame seeds.

For mains is a choice of two 14-day aged steaks. Guests will have a choice of either prime ribeye or fillet served with tenderstem broccoli, sauteed in garlic butter alongside a flat cap mushroom, oven-roasted tomato, and Niche's signature chunky chips.

And to finish off, diners can choose from two delectable desserts. Either a rich and dark chocolate delice dripping in chantilly cream, white chocolate sauce, and fresh Scottish raspberries. Or adorable petit fours, a cupcake served with tea and coffee.
