A statement on First Edition's Facebook page from last night read: "Earlier tonight, we evacuated our site due to a small fire in our kitchen. We aim to be reopen for 5:30pm

"Our kitchen will remain closed for the remainder of the night.

"We want to thank all of our customers who were in the pub for reacting so well.

"And a special thanks to our staff for managing the situation excellently.
