Ayrshire parents welcome festive babies into the world

Santa Claus popped into Ayrshire Maternity Unit (AMU) to make a special delivery on Christmas Day.

Baby John James McClung made his way into the world at 12.27am on December 25 – a son for mum, Danielle Sivewright, and dad, Billy McClung, from Kilmarnock.

Weighing 7lbs 4ozs, John is a little brother for Myley, 9, Madeline, 7, and Daisy, 5.

But there was quite the wait for Ayrshire’s first baby of 2021.

Dawson Callum Dickie arrived at Ayrshire Maternity Unit, Crosshouse Hospital at 9.11pm on January 1.

Weighing 7lbs 2ozs, the bundle of joy was welcomed into the world by parents Sarah Brown and David Dickie from Irvine.

Ayrshire Live wish both families all the very best as they start their new lives.
