Motorists are being warned that a major route through Ayrshire is to undergo essential maintenance next week.
Work to improve the A77, at Kirkoswald Road, Maybole is to take place from Monday, May 17.
The £40,000 improvement works will be carried out by Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, and are expected to last until Thursday, May 20.
The works will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am each evening with a convoy system put in place.
The road will be open as normal outwith these times.
An Amey spokesperson said: "Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
"All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled, or rescheduled, if weather conditions are not favourable."
Operators say that the works will "improve the condition of the carriageway" and "reduce the need for more extensive maintenance in future."
