Ayrshire man left in coma after Ibiza attack 'stable' as fundraiser smashes £30k

A Stewarton man who is a medically-induced coma after being attacked in Ibiza is in a critical but "stable" condition.

Gavin Roberton, 26, was hospitalised after being attacked during a holiday with pals, and he has been left in a coma.

He is still in the coma, but a family member has confirmed his condition is "stable".

The family member said: "Gavin is stable but they are still concerned about the swelling and lesions.

"They expect that they will need to keep him in the coma for another five/seven days, and even then it will depend on the situation."

A fundraiser was set up to help pay for Gavin to get home by Elaine Scott, and it has smashed £30,000.

He travelled to Ibiza without insurance, to donate and help him get home, visit here.
