Ayrshire man jailed after threatening to kill police with 'shocking and unnecessary' behaviour

A Newmilns man who threatened to kill police has been jailed.

Christopher Walls became abusive and threatening towards officers when they attended at his home following noise complaints on Saturday night.

The 32-year-old pleaded guilty before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court, which was told a neighbour had phoned police at around 11.15pm after hearing banging and shouting coming from the property on Isles Street.

Officers attended and Walls immediately started shouting at police and stated, “what the f*** are you doing here. I have done f*** all.”

He added: “It’s that bampot next door. F***ing mongo, always phoning you c****”.

Later that night, officers received another call about noise and reattended.

Walls was again abusive, threatening to kill the officers and continued this behaviour en route to Kilmarnock police station where he was detained.

Lawyer Neil McPherson, said: “His behaviour was shocking and unnecessary.”

Walls, who had been released early from prison, was sent back to jail for seven months.
