Ayrshire Junior side to hold fundraiser for injured players

Irvine Meadow are holding a benefit brunch to raise funds for several long-term injured players.

The “Afternoon with Jim ‘Buller’ Reid” event will take place in the Medda Social Club on Sunday, November 24 between 12pm and 4pm. Tickets, £10, are available from any committee member.

The club are also appealing for any raffle or auction donations to aid the cash drive.

Meadow recently lost their captain Ben Carson to a horror ankle injury which is likely to keep him out for the remainder of the season.

Striker Graham Boyd is another long-term injury ace while goalkeeper Shaun Newman could be out for as long as four months with a dislocated finger.

Jim "Buller" Reid is a highly regarded speaker with many Sportsman’s and after-dinner events under his belt.
