Ayrshire Junior club's pyramid ambitions boosted as business agrees to finance park development

Kilwinning Rangers have received a massive boost for their SFL pyramid ambitions after a businessman agreed to finance the development of Buffs Park.

The investment from Chris McMail of Microtech Group will help the club buy floodlights and improve disabled facilities – key requirements of an SFA club licence.

On top of that, the club revealed they are currently in discussions with several other companies regarding spectator stand sponsorship.

Buffs chairman Colin Boyd said he was hopeful to have all development works carried out over the summer months in time for next season.

A statement posted on the Microtech Group's Facebook page said: "After attending the clubs sponsor day at the beginning of the season, our MD Chris gained an insight into the clubs vision and the huge positive impact it has on its youth players, members and fans.

"We're looking forward to working with the club to develop our partnership further over the coming months!"
