One of Ayrshire’s busiest holiday parks has been hit by Covid again as bosses confirmed it was business as usual at the popular site.
Haven, owners of Craig Tara holiday park on Ayr's Dunure Road, confirmed today that "a couple" of members of staff have tested positive for the virus.
It’s also been confirmed that other members of staff have been forced to self isolate as a "precautionary measure".
The Ayrshire coast site, which employs around 600 staff, is currently packed with holidaymakers as families enjoy the summer break and scorching weather.
News of this latest Covid alert follows our story at the start of this month when Haven confirmed that a "handful" of staff at Craig Tara had tested positive for the virus.
A spokesperson said: “We have had a couple of positive cases amongst team members over the last week and have a few other members self-isolating as a precautionary measure.
“These are not impacting our offering to guests and owners and all facilities remain open.”
Last week, the site owners shot down claims there had been another outbreak among members of staff.
They also had to issue a statement after holidaymakers were left without power hours before England’s Euro 2020 final with Italy at Wembley.
