Ayrshire Greggs reopens with a new look and they're doing click and collect

An Ayrshire Greggs branch has reopened for the first time after tough lockdown restrictions were imposed.

The Kilmarnock bakery is back open for business after the store was reconfigured to comply with Covid retail guidelines.

And the Burns Mall outlet looks dramatically different after reopening for door service only.

Under rules imposed by the Scottish Government, hot food takeaways can only serve food from a doorway, window or hatch in a bid to help halt the spread of coronavirus.

A protective screen has been put across the doorway at head height and a table and point of sale is stationed just inside the entrance. A queuing system has also been put in place with sausage roll fans having to wait outside the Burns Mall to be served.

Steak Bake bosses have also unveiled a click and collect service for the shop too with foodies now able to pre-order their favourites before picking them up outside the store.

At the time of reopening workers at the shop said they were only accepting card payments.

It also appears that the bakery chain is operating a limited menu at the moment with a few favourites missing.
