The future’s undoubtedly bright for Irvine Meadow after an historic week for the Ayrshire club.
Monday night saw the switch flicked on the first set of floodlights to grace Meadow Park in the club’s proud 124-year history.
It’s the latest and biggest step yet in Medda’s ambition to achieve an SFA club licence.
Meadow chairman Robert Jeffrey said he was lost for words after seeing the famous old ground lit up for the first time.

“I never thought I’d live to see this,” he said, “It’s absolutely fantastic.
“Obviously an enormous amount of work has been done by volunteers and the committee but especially our general manager Brian Lamb who has drove this project on. This is his baby.
“We’ve still a bit of work to do in terms of getting the licence but this is a dream come true.”
