A flood warning has been issued for Ayrshire as heavy rain looks set to batter Scotland.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency — SEPA — has put the area on alert for river and surface water flooding today and tomorrow.
Officials urged residents to be vigilant and said there is a risk that low-lying land and roads could flood over the next 48 hours.
A SEPA statement reads: "This alert is for river and surface water flooding. Locally heavy rain may affect the area during Sunday and Monday.
"There is a risk of isolated flooding of low-lying land and roads from surface water and smaller watercourses.
"Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.
"Advice and information is also available through Floodline on 0345 9881188.
"This flood alert update is now in force until further notice.
