This year's Kilwinning Fireworks display has been cancelled.
Organisers Kilwinning Community Events say hopes of holding the annual event have been thwarted by ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.
Several alternative options were considered - including a 'drive-in' display with restricted attendees and a private display streamed online - but proved to be financially unfeasible.
Donald Reid of Kilwinning Community Events said: "We appreciate that cancelling the display will be disappointing and the risk of seeing a rise in anti-social behaviour around November 5th will be concerning.
"But as guidance and money stands we are unable to stage a fireworks display which would have been our 8th display since the group formed."
