Ayrshire estate endures night of terror as thieves target five cars and a house

An Ayrshire housing estate has endured a night of terror after thieves targeted multiple cars and one house.

Residents on the John Walker estate, just off Western Road, saw five cars broken into along with one home.

The series of distressing incidents took place in the early hours of Saturday morning between 2am and 3.30am on Grouse Road and Finlaggan Drive.

During one of the incidents, two men were disturbed after breaking into a property by a householder before they subsequently fled.

One is described as wearing a light blue hooded top, dark Adidas tracksuit bottoms and trainers. He was also wearing a baseball cap and had his hood up.

The second man is described as wearing a dark tracksuit top and bottoms with a baseball cap.

Constable Thomas Campbell from Kilmarnock priority policing team said "This is a distressing set of incidents for everyone involved.

"I am appealing to the residents in this area to look through any CCTV or dashcam footage from Saturday morning that they may have for possible sightings of the suspects or anything else out the ordinary.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0607 of 9 of October or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
