A stretch of Long Drive in Irvine is to close to allow essential water works to be carried out
From Monday November 30, a section of Long Drive heading towards the A78 slip road will be closed.
The slip road from the A78 will be unaffected.
This work is being undertaken by Scottish Water’s alliance partners Caledonia Water Alliance and is expected to take around eight days for completion.
Traffic management has been arranged in liaison with North Ayrshire Council's roads department and drivers are urged to follow local diversions.
Georgina Reid, Scottish Water’s corporate affairs manager in the west, said: “It’s important that our customers continue to enjoy clear, fresh drinking water.
"This essential work to improve the resilience of existing infrastructure in the area will help us achieve that.
“Road users are thanked in advance for their patience and understanding.”
